Arena is not a study app. It is how you find out whether your studying worked. Every challenge you answer is rated on a competitive ladder, and the rating is kept per subject, so over time it fills out a profile of what you actually know: 22 separate skills, each with its own number. The way a game shows a character's stats, except the character is you.
HOW A CHALLENGE WORKS
A card shows a subject, a topic, and how hard the question is. Double-tap to open it: four options, one guess, no hints. Then you see the correct answer, a short explanation, and exactly how much your rating moved. Up or down.
IT ADAPTS TO YOU
The feed picks what to show you next from how you have been doing, drawing on every level from beginner to specialist. Questions you answer come back later on an FSRS schedule, the same spaced-repetition algorithm Anki uses, timed to just before you would have forgotten them.
EVERY SUBJECT, RATED SEPARATELY
Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Medicine and Health, Mathematics, Technology, Engineering, History, Geography, Law and Government, Business and Economics, Psychology and Social Sciences, Philosophy and Religion, Language and Linguistics, Literature, Arts, Film and TV, Music, Gaming, Sports, Food and Drink, Lifestyle and Culture, General Knowledge.
Strength in one does not cover for weakness in another.
GUILDS
Create a guild, share the code, and everyone who joins gets a private leaderboard ranked subject by subject.
FREE, AND MEMBERSHIP
Arena is free, with a daily limit on new questions. Reviewing a question you have already answered is never limited.
Membership removes the daily limit and gives you a permanent member number based on when you joined. USD 5.99 per month or USD 39.99 per year. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in your store's subscription settings.
