About this app

CrewChief provides a variety of commonly needed capabilities for fleet operators. CrewChief is integrated with Geotab in the MyFleetistics customer web portal. The future of CrewChief is data collected will display reports, dashboards, and maps which gives management and dispatchers better real-time information.

Priority Alerting:

-SOS type alerting to multiple users configured by employer, excluding 911 emergency services. The notification may include SMS, email, and app alerts to nearby employees using the CrewChief mobile app, and a post to the web portal for dispatchers. This functionality was designed for bus drivers transporting prisoners, school children, and city bus riders as an alerting tool to organization members (not monitored by 911).

Automated Driver ID (ADI):

-A key feature is the automation of driver identification in a particular asset or vehicle. ADI improves the efficiency of knowing which users is in which vehicle and lowers the installation cost of traditional driver identification technology in a vehicle.

Location Data:

Location data collected by the mobile app is shared with your Company account. Location data is not sold or shared with third-party marketing organizations. Users can "Enable Private Mode" at any time and no longer be "visible" to an employer. When the CrewChief app is close

Location Disclosure:

This app collects location data to enable the following features even when the app is closed, in the background, always in use, or when the app is not in use. Limiting location data will limit some app features.

-Features that use location in the background:
-Driver ID to determine which company asset is being used.
-Geolocation-based alerts from various sources such as severe weather,
Amber Alert, and iPAWS.
-Proximity to other users for priority alerting and rapid response.
-Work related activities.

Disabling or adjusting settings may eliminate being able to receive location-based alerts and communication and receive any rescue or assistance. Always call 911 first for emergencies.
