About this app

THIS APP IS ONLY FOR THE "CAT S62 PRO". IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE "CAT S62", WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE A THERMAL CAMERA.

If you experiencing persistent problems with the thermal camera or MyFLIR Pro app on your Cat S62 Pro, please contact Cat phones support, via https://www.catphones.com/help-support/contact/

---------

The Cat S62 Pro is the third generation of the Cat 60 series and exclusively showcases the latest in Thermal by FLIR® technology. Powered by the FLIR Lepton 3.5 sensor and the new MyFLIR™ PRO app, the Cat S62 Pro offers a huge four-fold increase in the number of thermal pixels and an unmatched feature set within the application.

For the first time, professionals and consumers can access FLIR Systems’ VividIR™ image processing, enhanced MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging), and visible-to-thermal blending technologies integrated into their smartphone. Users can now vary the intensity of MSX, which overlays visual outline detail from the scene onto the thermal image or use the new alpha blending feature to combine thermal detail with the visual image from the Sony dual-pixel camera. Together these upgrades deliver dramatically enhanced image quality, sharper images, and higher thermal resolution to provide greater context and understanding of the thermal image you are seeing.

The new software enables analytic and reporting features typically found in higher end, dedicated thermal imaging products. Isotherm and isotherm alarming, minimum and maximum temperature flag indicators, and report generation built into the app, are just a subset of the powerful new features found in the MyFLIR PRO application on the Cat S62 Pro.

With isotherm alarming you can monitor a custom temperature range (anything between -20°C to +400°C) and add alarms to alert you when something falls within that range – hugely useful when watching for machinery to reach a specified temperature, screening for unusually elevated temperature, or even if the BBQ is up to temperature.

Keeps crashing every time I take a picture, started on 6/22/2021. No other or new apps were installed prior and after. UPDATE(have time to waste today): I figured out what's causing the persistent crashing: the June update did not take into consideration about micro sd card as "internal storage". My solution was format the sd card as portable, then re-format it as internal storage. NOTE: All my files were gone even before formatting. Hopefully future updates will take this into consideration. Also, I've sent email to the developer and sent feedbacks multiple times but no one tried to contact me back about the issue.

After app update on August 3/4, 2023 the App crashes when taking pictures in landscape/horizontal mode. Takes pictures fine in portrait/verticle mode. It also no longer shows the images taken in the File Manager application that shipped with the phone. The last Flir picture that shows in File Manager is dated 07/29/2023. This broke the ability to open past IR photos and see the visible light image embedded with the IR image. Downgrading review to 1 star now.

Love it but has a significant bug. Color bars on saved pictures appear randomly. That's a problem, because without a color bar it's just a pretty image. Please make the saved pictures as they appear in the app - if you have the color bar open show it, if not hide it. Will adjust my rating when this is fixed. Thanks!
