About this app
FlowMaps is a navigation app designed for those who drive all day.
CURRENT COVERAGE
The map and routes cover the Recife Metropolitan Region: Recife, Olinda, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Paulista, and Camaragibe. Outside this area, the app does not yet calculate routes—we are gradually expanding.
NAVIGATION THAT SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE
Instructions are given in Brazilian Portuguese, with the street name and distance to the maneuver. The camera follows the car at an angle, showing the path ahead, and widens the field of view according to speed—on the avenue you see further, at the corner the map zooms in so you can see the right entrance.
CONTINUES GUIDING WITH THE SCREEN OFF
You can put your phone in your pocket or in the holder and the instructions will continue. And if the signal drops in the middle of the journey, the device takes over navigation on its own: the maneuver continues, without depending on the internet.
SEARCH AND ROUTES
Type or speak your destination. The app suggests addresses, businesses, and landmarks as you type, and saves recent destinations so you don't have to type them again. Before leaving, compare up to three routes with the time and distance of each—and change routes mid-trip if you prefer a different one.
ROAD ALERTS
A single tap alerts other drivers about police checkpoints, accidents, traffic jams, potholes, hazards on the shoulder, flooding, road closures, speed cameras, safety issues, gas stations, or map errors. You receive voice alerts about what's happening on your route, in advance to react.
YOUR TRIPS
Each trip is recorded in the history, with time, distance, and time. This helps you check your workday and allows the app to learn to better estimate arrival times.
PRIVACY
Login is via your phone number, and nothing is recorded before you authorize it. Consent is separated by purpose: you can use navigation without accepting route recording for training purposes — it's your choice, and it starts off. Background location is only requested when you start navigation, never when opening the app. You can clear your history or delete your account at any time.
