About this app

The "Rīgas satiksme" mobile app is intended for both public transport passengers and drivers.
 
In the ticket section, you can buy Riga public transport tickets, register trips, and present the activated ticket to the controller. Several payment methods are available - payment card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and internet banks. Tickets must be used within three months of purchase. You can also view the history of transactions and trips in the ticket section.
 
In the "Routes and times" section, you can see the arrival times of transport at stops, follow the movement on a real-time map, view timetables, plan routes, as well as search for public transport stops and addresses.
 
In the parking section, you can pay for the use of "Rīgas satiksme" parking lots for both single and multiple car parallel sessions. It is possible to save frequently used car numbers. Payment can be made by payment card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Money is reserved for the planned parking time, but charged only for the actual one, because parking can be terminated before the planned term. Transaction history is available for the last four months. In order not to miss the end of the parking time, the user can set a reminder frequency for the active parking space.

This application is extremely frustrating to use as a tourist for 3 key reasons: 1. It needs you to register an account using either a Latvia or Lithuania or Estonia phone number. I fortunately was able to use a friend's phone number since he wasn't there. 2. The payment system hangs/crashes frequently and doesn't go through and it gives errors if there is a need for 2 factor authentication. 3. The app crashes when you try to enter a code to register a ticket.

Logs you out constantly and randomly from time to time changes your password without your knowledge

Decent app by now. Missing option of saving payment info so that I could one click parking without going through 3 clicks. Also, could offer default parking zone by looking at location. Otherwise good. UPD. After a couple days of use it can't process payments any more. Choosing any of the payment options goes to a blank loading window that eventually says "Payment denied". Updated review from 4 to 2.
