🤔 What is Fly Decision for?
To help you decide where to go paragliding 🪂.
It automatically analyzes the wind forecast for your favorite launch sites and shows you graphically 🟩🟨🟥 and with a score (0-10) where you could fly.
The forecast covers 4 days, hour by hour, and includes wind, gust, and direction at ground level and wind at different altitudes above the launch site.
You can customize the analysis for your skill level or preferred conditions.
It has many more features and a launch site map with interesting information and various filters (number of flights, average distance, etc.). You'll want to explore it 😉.
✨ What are the advantages that would make it useful for me?
✅ Automatic wind condition scoring.
✅ Forecast updated 8 times a day, hour by hour, for 4 days.
✅ Statistically more reliable weather model for wind (Arome-HD 1.3km) in Southern Europe.
✅ Data filtering by time range (days/hours), recalculating the condition score for that specific interval.
✅ Takeoff filters based on minimum conditions or distance to the launch site.
✅ Launch map with many other options: filters by number of flights registered on XContest, year of last flight, minimum average flight distance, heat map of over 1 million launch points (Iberian Peninsula, Alps, and Morocco), launch sites worldwide, etc.
✅ Links to other forecasts for each launch site: Windy, Meteo-parapente, and Meteoblue, for easy access to all the data.
✅ Customize average wind speed (minimum, ideal, and maximum) and maximum gust limits so the system calculates a score tailored to your preferences.
🆓 Is it free? Is personal data collected?
It's free, and no personal or device data is collected.
📊 What weather data does it offer?
