About this app

FlySpaceA is an independent app that brings the Space Available (Space-A) flight schedules that military passenger terminals post online into one place. Instead of checking each terminal's web page for its 72-hour and 30-day schedules, open the app to see what's flying.

Flight map: upcoming flights show on a map, with a line for each route. When two or more flights share an airport, its dot shows a number. Tap an airport to see the flights to and from it.

Flight list and filters: switch to the list for the details. Filter by flight status (Firm, Tentative, Cancelled), by departure or arrival airport, or by date range. In the list, the legs of a multi-leg trip are grouped under one route.

Terminals: look up passenger terminal phone numbers (commercial and DSN), email and website, get directions, and read terminal notes before you go.

Eligibility calculator: answer a few questions to find your Space Available travel category. It covers all six:
• Cat I: Emergency Leave (Unfunded)
• Cat II: Environmental and Morale Leave (Accompanied)
• Cat III: Ordinary Leave, House Hunting, Medal of Honor
• Cat IV: Unaccompanied EML
• Cat V: Other Permissive TDY, Unaccompanied Dependents, Post-Deployment/Mobilization Respite Absence
• Cat VI: Retirees, Gray Area Retirees, Guard/Reserve (Inactive), 100% Disabled Veterans, ROTC

Request emails: pick a flight and the app starts a sign-up email to the departure terminal, with the route, date and roll call filled in. Add your traveler details, then review and send it from your own email app.

Who it's for: active duty, Guard, Reserve, retirees, dependents, 100% disabled veterans, and anyone else eligible for Space Available travel.

Account: you need an account to see flights. Sign in with Google, or create an account with your email. Terminals and the eligibility calculator work without one.

Where the information comes from: FlySpaceA collects flight schedules and terminal details from what military passenger terminals post publicly on their official websites, most of them Air Mobility Command (AMC) pages, and checks for updates about every six hours. Travel categories follow DoD Instruction 4515.13. Official sources:
