Have you ever been startled by the horn of the car behind you while you briefly looked away during a traffic light wait?

LightSignal is a helper that uses your smartphone camera to recognize the traffic light ahead and displays the moment the signal changes on the screen.

■ On-Device AI Recognition

A recognition model trained on Korean traffic light data operates directly on the device. Captured video is not transmitted to a server, and recognition works even without an internet connection.

· Distinguishes four states: Red, Green, Yellow, and Left Turn Arrow

· Supports both horizontal and vertical traffic lights

· Recognizes even small traffic lights in the distance through split-screen analysis

■ Background Pop-up

Even if you press the Home button to view other apps, the signal status continues to be displayed in a small window on top of the screen. It can be used alongside navigation or music apps.

■ Operates Only While Stopped

Recognition is performed only when the GPS speed is 10 km/h or less. It automatically stops when driving begins to save battery and prevents you from looking at the screen while driving. ■ Automatic Recognition Model Updates

When a new model with improved recognition performance is released, the app will notify you and download it after verification. There is no need to reinstall the app.

■ Report Errors

If you encounter a situation where recognition is not working properly, please tap the screen to send the screenshot of that moment via email. The cases you send will be used to improve the next recognition model.

■ How to Use

1. Mount your phone vertically on a car mount and point the rear camera toward the traffic light ahead.

2. Launch the app and press [Start].

3. To use another app, turn on [Background Popup] and press the Home button.

■ Required Permissions

· Camera: Video analysis for traffic light recognition (Video is not saved or transmitted)

· Location: For checking GPS speed. Used to enable recognition only when the vehicle is stationary, and location information does not leave the device.

· Display over other apps: Display background popups

· Notifications: Status display indicating that the app is running in the background

■ Please Note

This app is a reference tool, not a driver assistance device. Since recognition results are not always accurate, please be sure to visually verify the actual signal and drive safely in compliance with traffic laws. Operating a mobile phone while driving is prohibited by law.

Works on Android 11 or higher devices with a rear camera.

· 정차 중 전방 신호등을 카메라로 인식해 빨강·초록·노랑·좌회전 상태를 화면에 표시합니다.
· 홈 버튼을 눌러 다른 앱을 써도 작은 팝업으로 신호 상태가 계속 보입니다.
· GPS 속도가 시속 10km를 넘으면 인식이 자동으로 멈춰 배터리를 아낍니다.
· 인식 모델이 개선되면 앱에서 바로 내려받아 업데이트할 수 있습니다.
· 인식이 틀린 장면은 화면을 탭해 제보할 수 있습니다.

인식 결과는 참고용입니다. 실제 신호는 반드시 직접 확인하고 안전 운전하세요.
