Whether you are focused on improving group productivity, safety, or comradery, this is the app for you! Our simple check-in check-out system allows you to enter into a session that blocks all unessential and distracting apps. Our system is designed to collect minimal data and ensure user privacy.

To start, you sign up via email, and then enter in your Group ID. Next, select your specific sub-group, and you are in! To check-in, you simply tap our logo, and scan our Focal device, which begins an app blocking session. When you want to exit the session, simply tap our logo again in-app, scan our Focal device, and all apps are unblocked! Throughout this process, we have a subscriber facing dashboard that tracks the activity status of all users checked in or out of the app blocking session. This allows for visibility within the group of who is checked in at what time temporarily.

**TAP TO FOCUS**

While a focus session is active, Focal prevents you from opening the apps
you choose to avoid. If you try to open a blocked app, Focal gently
redirects you back, keeping you on track until your session ends.

Accessibility Service Disclosure

Focal uses the Android AccessibilityService API to power its app-blocking
feature. When a focus session is active, the AccessibilityService detects
which application is currently in the foreground. If that app is one you
have chosen to block, Focal redirects you to a blocking screen so you can
return to your focus session.

This is the sole purpose of the AccessibilityService in Focal. The service
is only active during a focus session that you start. Focal does NOT use the
AccessibilityService to collect, store, share, or transmit any personal or
sensitive user data. No screen content, keystrokes, or interaction data is
recorded or sent anywhere. The service is used exclusively on your device to
identify the foreground app and enforce the app blocks you have configured.
