Description

Folder Player Pro is a directory and file-centric music\mp3 player and is a more advanced version of its popular free counterpart.
It adds the following capabilities on top of free version:

- Priority updates
- Unlimited tagging, allowing you to create multiple "playlists"
- Extended cross-fading functionality
- Ability to auto-delete tracks during playback
- Option to stop on power loss
- Option to continue playback for next folder, after current folder finishes

Some of the other features shared between two editions:

- playing folder trees AND individual files within folders
- integration with Bluetooth headphones (and your car)
- integration with last.fm (via scrobbler)
- pauses during phone calls and navigation speech
- sequential and random play
- configurable settings
- Equalizer
- Double press headset button to skip track

Huzzah for cruft-free software that does one thing well. I was recently surprised to see the original tinyplayer disappear recently and casting about for a replacement; fortunately, this is even better.

Best player I encountered. It's perfect for my needs! I simply cannot find the option anymore to raise volume above some saftey threshhold. Has this been removed?

The best! Would be nice if you could long press folders, then select few of them so you could play more folders at once.

This is the only player which could get to my SD card where my music is stored. You will be surprised how many media players just can't do this. One improvement would be to be able to search based on artist and play all. For example I have seven albums of a certain artist but I can only play one album.

Now, to install on phone number four... I've been using Folder Player since pretty much it's beginning, the PRO version for two years and continuously the free version, when I quickly install and pay no attention to the word PRO. But both versions are equally good, so for me, this is a must... I look forward to writing a new review in 2019, with my next phone. 😎

Kept this app after changing 3 cellphones. Nothing comes even close. All the other apps want me to store my music in other ways but folders work for me and this app works for me, too. One of the few apps that never have stability issues and I have hundreds of songs in dozens of folders.

Excellent app. If only there were a playing screen showing the track's album art, so I can know which folder is being played, especially when there're a lot of subfolders.

Have been using this app for years. First app I load when I change phones. Simple. Does what it does and nothing more. I gave nefertiti been able to find another that just plays and works.

Pro version no better than free: stopped advancing thru list of songs Great app, great idea, too. Decided to support the developer and get the paid Pro version. But not sure if it's any better than the free version. Crashes, stops unexpectedly. Still doesn't play .wma files

Android 6 moves location of SD card, unfortunately. Search in /mnt directory. place called "/storage". Will be easier to find in next release

It just does what it's supposed to Stable bomb-proof reliable... what else is there to say. Seems to have all the little toys we like... one thing it could do with is a level stabiliaer so all times play at the same regardless of their recorded differences. Not enough of a problem to steal a star

Playback stops after several songs without any apparent reason or explanation. Maybe it's the BT speaker's fault, but i would expect a report explaining the source of the problem so i can fix it...

Equaliser not wotking I went pro as i like this app. I would have gave more than 3 stars but for some reason when I click on equaliser it tells me it's not available as it's locked by the other app. Why is this? When I pay for something I expect everything to work. Hence why I gave only 3 stars

Worth every penny Went through 10 music players trying to find one that simply plays subfolders, so I can do multiple albums without the fuss of creating (and updating) M3U playlists. This fit the bill, with a no-fuss interface that doesn't come with bloat features I'll hardly ever use. When you have the right tool for the job, it's worth every penny of the price 😊

Great Player and Great Support! I love this player! It rapidly became my favorite! It's simple, clean, looks good and does what it does extremely well! It has all of the basic features, plus some extras, like pausing when you unplug the headphones, you can set your Home folder if you want, Repeat Song/Folder/Shuffle, etc. And it even works with some of the lyrics apps, such as Lyricsboard (I tested it myself). And the support is Premium level! The developer responds quickly and is very responsive to user input!

It was great until.. Got an s7 edge now folder player will not play any flac files. The stock app will. Folder player site no help. Says that happens but they must keep the app light. Now they are light of me. Of course they already have my few dollars.

OMG - why are there only so few of these?? Android devs get a grip on real life. Folders were invented over 2 decades ago! The dev of this app is right: My digital life is organized in FOLDERS, not a damn media library with no hierarchy to speak of!

Google's Play Music and other such players aren't easy to play your own music the way you want. I like the simple interface and the sleep timer. Developer responded quickly to a feature request, that it already is built in. How could I not get the Pro version?

Its absolutely perfect and I upgraded to Pro version in order to do crossfade Great equalizer and all the customizations I was looking for. I love being able to browse by folder structure, no un-necessary animations and bullcrap like the others. This one just gets to the point and very fast and reliable

Outstanding MP3 player. This product is top shelf. I enjoy the advanced capabilities. With folders my way, it allows me to easily create my own radio playlist. Cross fade is wonderful. Fine control over every aspect of how it plays for you. Even if, how loud, and how often, if ever, to bother you while you rock out. I am very pleased and quite impressed.
