I've been using the free version for years and just decided to buy the pro version to support the developer, the free version is awesome too. The app is for people who prefer to stay in control of how your audio files are organized (in folders). It's very convenient, lots of features, and now it even supports android auto. Highly recommend! Edit: The behavior in Android Auto is not ideal. Every time you live the app, switch to a different audio app and then come back to Folder Player, it completely forgets which folder it was in and what it was playing. It would be nice to fix it so that like many other apps, it resumes from where you left off.

Misbehaving! Have used for years, but latest update has destroyed it. Runs in the background, runs battery down, and makes phone get hot. Attempts to optimize in phone settings makes app stop and lose memory of memory card music folders. If you listen to anything like a marathon, this app will now only frustrate you. Can't start every morning and continue where I left off because the app forgets and has to be setup again. Will have to use something else.

single best music player for my needs. upgraded from free version and never looked back - until today, when an update broke it. click play on any track or folder and it shuts down. I have full confidence that Peter will fix it as a matter of urgency though, so no reduction in star rating - never mind... I fixed it after following FAQ on website š
