About this app

Fold In is a private lending app for small trusted groups — we call them "Folds." Your roommates, your block, your siblings, your hiking crew. The people you already share things with, in one quiet place.

Add the drill, the espresso machine, the tent. Decide which Folds see it. When someone wants to borrow, you both follow a simple ritual: ask, accept, hand off, return. No marketplace, no public profile, no strangers.

A FEW THINGS WE BELIEVE

• Private by default. Items live inside Folds, not in a global feed.
• No tracking. No ads. We don't sell your data.
• The closing of a loop matters. Returning an item should feel as good as borrowing one.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Create a Fold for any group — household, neighbors, friends, family
• List items with a photo and an optional care note
• Borrow with a clear handoff and return ritual
• Get a heads-up when a request comes in or an item is on its way back
• Open an incident if something is lost or broken — both parties resolve it together
• Plan a trip and pre-pack your borrowed items
• Pass along the things you've outgrown
