KumaSpot is an app that displays bear sighting locations (in Tokyo and parts of Yamanashi Prefecture) on a map, based on data (with permission) from the "Asian Black Bear Sighting Information Map ~TOKYO Kuma Map~" published by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Environment. It notifies you when you approach a spot near your current location, supporting safe decision-making during mountain climbing, hiking, and outings.
