About this app

Forex Pip Calc is a focused pip-value, lot-size, position-sizing and margin calculator for active Forex, metals and crypto traders. Type entry, stop and target — get risk, reward and the exact R:R ratio in your account currency, in one tap. Or flip to Risk mode to size your position from the equity you have and the risk you're willing to take.


WHAT IT DOES

• Four calc modes:
- Price — entry / stop / target with live R:R, partial results when you only fill some fields.
- Pips — raw pip-count → P&L for your lot size.
- Risk — position sizing: account equity + risk % + stop pips → required lot size.
- Margin — lot + leverage (1:1 to 1:1000) → margin tied up in your account currency.
• 65 pairs across Majors, Crosses, Exotics, Gold, Silver, BTC, ETH, XRP.
• Free-decimal lot size (0.001 to 1000) with MT4/5/cTrader-style preset chips for 1.00 / 0.10 / 0.01 / 0.001 — or type your own value (0.5, 2.3, …).
• Quick R-multiples: 1R, 1.5R, 2R, 3R prefill the take-profit snap-to-pip.
• Risk-percent presets: 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% — the canonical retail risk tiers.
• Pip-value ladder under every result, in your account currency: 0.001 / 0.01 / 0.10 / 1.00 lot at a glance.
• Account currency in USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, AUD, CAD or NZD via live mid-rates, refreshed about every minute while the app is open and never in the background. The app shows how old each price is, and the latest snapshot stays cached for in-flight or low-signal use.
• Watchlist of pinned pairs with their preferred calc mode, lot, risk % or leverage.
• Saved trade setups (Pro): one-tap reload of an entire plan — including risk-sizing presets and margin checks — before a news release.
• Long / short, snap-to-pip rounding, paste-safe price parsing (handles 1.16908, 1,16908 or no-decimal broker quotes).

OFFLINE PIP MATH, LIVE RATES

Every pair spec — pip size, lot size, decimal places — ships inside the app, so P&L, risk size and margin are computed entirely on-device. Pick USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, AUD, CAD or NZD as your account currency and live mid-rates from a public quote feed, refreshed about every minute while the app is open, handle the conversion. The last snapshot stays cached, and if no rate path is available the calculator transparently falls back to the pair's quote currency so you always see a number.


BROKER SPECS

Pip size, lot size and pip value follow the standard MT4 / MT5 / cTrader conventions used by most retail brokers (1 lot = 100,000 base for FX, 100 oz for gold, 5,000 oz for silver, 1 unit for BTC/ETH/XRP). Hungarian forint and Czech koruna pairs use the pip most brokers publish: 0.01 HUF and 0.001 CZK. Always cross-check the values against your broker's own contract specs — especially for crypto and exotic FX, where some brokers use different lot definitions.


PRO

Pro is an auto-renewing yearly subscription. It unlocks every pair, removes ads and adds saved trade setups + unlimited watchlist. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each year unless cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings — you keep access until the current period ends.

What’s new

- Forint and koruna pairs (EUR/HUF, USD/HUF, EUR/CZK, USD/CZK) now use the pip most brokers publish (0.01 HUF, 0.001 CZK), so lot sizes are right. Saved setups on these pairs: please check the stop
- Prices refresh about every minute while the app is open
- The app shows how old each price is, and says so when one stops updating
- In the Risk card, small pip values show their decimals (e.g. ¥0.30 instead of ¥0)
- USD/RON and LTC/USD removed from the list
