ForgeClear – Storage Inspection & Manual Cleanup
ForgeClear is a simple utility designed to help you inspect your device storage and identify files that are no longer needed. It acts as a digital logbook, scanning for specific types of data buildup and presenting them to you for manual review and removal.
What ForgeClear Scans For:
Ad-Related Files Identifies temporary media and data saved by advertisements in other apps.
Old App Installers (APKs) Locates APK files that were used to install apps but are now just taking up space.
Leftover App Data Finds folders and files that remain on your device after an app has been uninstalled.
Temporary Records Lists short-term files created by the system or apps that are usually no longer required.

Why ForgeClear Needs "All Files Access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
To give you a complete picture of your storage, ForgeClear requires the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission.
Why this is necessary:
Finding Hidden Junk: Many "Leftover Files" and "Ad Caches" are hidden in deep folders that standard permissions cannot see. Without this access, the app would miss a large portion of the files you are trying to find.
A Complete Scan: To accurately find all "Old APK Files" across your entire device (not just in your downloads folder), the app needs permission to look through the whole storage system. This ensures your scan results are factual and complete.

You Are in Control
ForgeClear is a manual tool. It does not delete anything automatically in the background. After the scan is finished, you see a list of what was found. You decide what stays and what goes—every deletion is a manual choice made by you.
