A Better Discourse App (ABDA)

MoleCorp Soft

About this app

ABDA brings every Discourse community to your phone. Open-source projects, companies, games and hobbies run their forums on Discourse. ABDA is one app for all of them: read, reply, react, chat and get notified, without juggling browser tabs.

FIND YOUR COMMUNITIES
• A directory of 2,400+ public forums in 22 categories and 32 languages, each checked to work in the app
• Search by name or topic, and filter by category and language
• Open any Discourse forum by its web address, or share a link to ABDA from your browser
• The forums you use stay on Home, with their own icons

THE WHOLE FORUM, MADE FOR A PHONE
• Each forum's own logo and colours, categories and tags, in light and dark mode
• Latest, hot, top, new and unread
• Posts look the way they do on the web: images, galleries, tables, code, quotes, polls, events, video, audio and link previews

TAKE PART
• Reply and start topics with the same Markdown the web composer writes
• Attach photos from your gallery, or take one with the camera
• React with the forum's emoji, bookmark with reminders, quote and edit
• Drafts are saved on the forum, so you can finish them on the web
• Private messages, group inboxes and live chat

STAY IN THE LOOP
• Push notifications for replies, mentions, messages and chat, for each forum where you turn them on
• Your notifications, bookmarks, drafts and profile in one place

YOUR ACCOUNT STAYS WITH THE FORUM
• You sign in on the forum's own page; ABDA never sees your password
• Each forum keeps its own account, and most public forums can be read without signing in
• Signing out revokes the app's key on the forum

SAFE AND PRIVATE
• Report posts to the forum's moderators, and ignore users you don't want to see
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics and no ABDA account
• Forum screens in eleven languages
