About this app

The hands of hospital staff play a central role in the transmission of infection: many microorganisms are able to settle temporarily or permanently hands. The contamination is caused mainly by microorganisms resistant to drying, such as staphylococci and enterococci. The contamination of the surfaces of objects has been detected also at the level of the sinks, where it is favored by the presence of a moist environment. The handles of the taps are more prone to contamination and must be controlled most of the other parts of the health care.

The goal of this App, created in collaboration with the Bambino Gesù in Rome, is to train health care workers about the importance of good hand hygiene practice, the correct mode of execution and compliance occasions, including the proper use of gloves for the prevention and control of infections related to care practices.
