Forward Chess is an interactive chess book reader. Read the book, play through book lines, AND try your OWN lines. The embedded Stockfish engine, one of the strongest chess playing engines on the planet, can be invoked at any time to provide an evaluation of the book’s moves or an evaluation of your own variations. Forward Chess is like having a book, a chessboard, and a powerful analysis tool together right in the palm of your hand!

One of the best things about Forward Chess is its ergonomic design. Forward Chess engineers designed easy-to-reach “Previous” and “Next” buttons that allow the user to quickly scroll through moves, and a one-touch snap-to-position feature that allows the user to touch a move and snap to a position. The resizable diagrams are easy on the eyes.

For large-scale navigation, Forward Chess allows the user to jump directly to specific chapters, scroll seamlessly through single chapters, and navigate long trees of variations with ease.

Forward Chess now supports note taking: creation, editing, and deletion. The app also supports multiple bookmarks per book.

Forward Chess currently features books published by the following fine chess publishers: Quality Chess, Chess Stars, Russell Enterprises, Chess Informant, New In Chess, and Mongoose Press.

This app should be the future of how to study Chess books. It'samazing, featuring lots of customization and chess-specific functionality that has Kindle BEAT. I love the app and I love the HUGE selection of books available at WAY better prices than anywhere else. My first book(s) is/are Volumes 1 & 2 of "Akiva Rubinstein: Uncrowned King", and I'm WAY happy I got this edition over the hardcopies! Because it costs nothing to try, check it out, and use the free sample to explore all that it does!

Forward Chess is an amazing app (software product)! I love the portability across all my platforms - Android, Windows, iPhone and iPad)! it's the BEST eBook product in the industry! I wish I can include my Kindle books and PDF to it now!! The prices are good and the sale prices are better!! I like the constant updates made to make a wonderful product even better!

This is the best way to study chess books. As you play through the lines in games/ problems, the program can instantly return you to the point in the game where the line began. (I can almost never remember where the pieces were at the start of a line, which was very aggravating and time consuming. ) The only shortcoming here is that not all chess books are available in this format.
