Cardiac arrest doesn't discriminate—it affects young and old, women and men alike, and it happens on the bus, at university, at work, or at home. The first four minutes are crucial for survival. Unfortunately, rescuers arrive on average within eight minutes. Tower of Life fills this gap.
Tower of Life is an app-based rescue network that, in the event of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), connects users to the nearest AED and people ready to help. You don't need to be a doctor—the app guides you step by step, precisely when adrenaline makes thinking difficult.
■ HOW IT WORKS
Someone nearby suddenly collapses and isn't breathing normally. You begin chest compressions and trigger an alarm in the app—hold the button for three seconds. The system activates the nearest rescue tower: the tower lights up, sounds an alarm, and calls nearby people for help.
At the same time:
• With a single tap, the app connects you to the emergency number,
• A metronome for chest compressions is activated,
• A map with navigation to the nearest AED is available,
• Trained personnel nearby are notified to rush to the scene of the incident.
A bystander who responds to the alarm in the tower scans the QR code next to the AED and is guided directly to the person in need of help via the web app.
■ KEY FEATURES
• One-touch SCA alarm – activates the nearest rescue tower
• Navigation to the nearest AED (map and GPS)
• Chest compression metronome
• Quickly call the emergency number from the app
• Notifications for trained users about nearby incidents
• Real-time emergency status ("alarm triggered," "AED on the way")
• QR code on the tower opens the incident map – no app required
• Interactive map of all defibrillators in range
■ BECOME PART OF THE EMERGENCY NETWORK
Register as a trained rescuer, and when someone nearby needs help, you'll receive a notification with their precise location. The more people in the network, the faster the time to first compression and first shock.
■ FOR WHOM
For anyone who wants to help: students, employees, residents, teachers, or parents. You don't need medical training—just a phone call and a willingness to help.
■ PERMISSIONS
• Location—to indicate the nearest defibrillator, provide information about the incident location, and activate the nearest tower and rescuers. The alarm can only be triggered in a designated area, which protects against false calls.
■ Notifications—to inform trained users about incidents nearby.
■ IMPORTANT
Tower of Life supports bystander response and shortens the time to defibrillator use—it is not a substitute for professional medical assistance. In a life-threatening situation, always call the emergency number (999 or 112).
An AED is within reach. Trigger an alarm and save a life in four minutes.
