Southampton, 1916. HMHS Britannic — sister ship to the Titanic — sails as the largest hospital ship in the world. Seventeen-year-old Sam Carter walks up her gangway with his father's brass compass in his pocket. At the top he meets Beatrice Hart, a nurse on her first voyage too.
Ten chapters later, the sea will close over her funnels in fifty-five minutes.
BRITANNIC: FINAL VOYAGE is a seek-and-find adventure that follows the real last voyage of a real ship, from the crowded dockside at Southampton to the rescue boats of Kea.
• TEN CHAPTERS, ONE VOYAGE — the dockside, the empty hospital ward, a storm-bound quay in Naples, the flooding boiler rooms, the turning propellers, and the island that took the survivors in.
