Avert helps give a new driver the freedom of a phone in the car — without the temptation of a phone in their hand.

When the driver's phone connects to the car's Bluetooth, Avert automatically locks down distracting apps until the vehicle stops. No app to remember to open, no toggle to flip before pulling out of the driveway. It just works.
How it works
Avert watches for a connection to a vehicle you've registered. The moment it connects, the lock screen appears — leaving only what actually matters while driving: phone calls, navigation, and emergency access. When the car stops, the phone unlocks again automatically.

Built for real trust, not surveillance
Avert is never hidden. The driver always sees it's active — a persistent notification, a clear lock screen, full visibility into how it works. This isn't a secret monitoring tool; it's a visible, agreed-upon boundary

Your data stays yours
Avert has no ad network, no analytics, no account to create, and no cloud server. Everything — vehicle pairing, settings, alert history — stays on the phone. Nothing is sold, shared, or used for anything other than running the app.

Setup
Set up once: pair the car's Bluetooth, choose allowed apps, set a PIN, and add a trusted contact for alerts. Avert requires Bluetooth, location (to detect driving speed as a backup and to know when the car has stopped), Accessibility Service (to know which app is on screen so it can show the lock), and SMS permission (to send alert texts) — nothing more.
