About this game

Since 2016, astronomers have been searching for a large, distant planet to explain the unique orbits of objects in our solar system.


In THE SEARCH FOR PLANET X, a tabletop board game from Foxtrot Games, you will take on the role of these astronomers, using observations and logical deductions to search for this distant planet. The game uses a companion app to randomly choose a location for Planet X and other objects, following predefined logic rules.


As the earth travels around the sun, you will interact with the app to perform various research actions. You'll note what you learn on your deduction sheet, and you'll be able to piece together all the available information to publish theories and score points.


THE SEARCH FOR PLANET X captures the thrill of discovery, the puzzly-nature of astronomical investigation, and the competition inherent in the scientific process.

One of my MOST favorite board games. The game works only with the app though. The app works great! I love the idea, and think you all should advertise the game more and translate to other languages!! Also would have loved if you added a deck of cards with everything the app has to offer, so that even without the app you could play the game since when you can't use the phone, the game is unplayable.. otherwise, favorite game :3

Works for its sole specific purpose of serving the board game. However, I'd like for it to also be able to display my previously revealed information. Sometimes you just accidentally misclick and there's pretty much no way to recap.

App works it just needs some settings. Ideally a setting for text size (why is the text so small!) and maybe go to minimal background. Can be very hard to read for visually impaired players.
