Most equalizers have only 4 or 5 eq. sliders - far too few. XEQ has TEN SLIDERS!!! I went into settings and found "Zoom in the Equalizer" which stretches the EQ vertically allowing easier fine-tuning. EDIT: Years after initial installation I found, at 70 years of age, vocals were muffled and high frequencies were missing even with the sliders maxed out. Back in settings, I checked "Extended Dynamic - Full Power"... instantly I could hear everything again INCLUDING VOCALS! Thanks so much devs!!!

One day down. So far I'm impressed. Impressed enough to forego using the built-in EQ in my Sony Connect app. This is the first EQ I've trusted with my (no cheap buds & phones) and the music quality is pretty decent. Once Sony took away their selection of awesome DSP sound fields to choose from they opened themselves up to competition. I hated having the processed sound stuck only in the listening devices. Time will tell...

NOT for beginners! I have no idea how to work such a detailed a equalizer. There was so much I didn't understand & I didn't feel comfortable f'in with anything. I just stuck to the NUMEROUS pre-set opinions. Trying them all with many songs. I used my S23 ultra phone, beats studio pro, and wonderboom 4 speaker. Unfortunately, none of them helped or enhanced the sound of any music I played, it made it worse. I also got ads here & there at inconvenient times. They should play in-between songs.
