Companion mode keeps a local SQLite cache for instant offline access; agent mode uses the server as the primary store. All data is per-user isolated and encrypted — no one else can access your chats, identity files, or memories. Even the developer have NO way to see your data. One-tap server backup and restore makes moving to a new phone painless.
