About this app

Discover the growing community of 200k+ skaters and more than 100k+ skate spots from around the globe. Search skate spots & skateparks, filter by obstacles, and contribute to the movement by adding new locations. No sign-up is required.

A passionate skateboarder built ShredSpots in Southern California with one goal in mind: to help skaters find new skate spots and keep shredding. We took his idea and developed it further with a bigger team by redesigning the experience and adding more valuable features.

Our current features include but are not limited to:
• Finding skate spots around the world
• Filtering by spots or skateparks
• Sorting by 20 different obstacle types, including filtering by the number of stairs (5 set, 7 set, etc..)
• Viewing skatepark set-ups, bust risk, and additional spot info
• Checking out the feed from all over the globe
• Ranking in the leaderboard and become a top contributor with special perks
• Adding your spots and sharing them with the community
• Navigating to each location
• Scrolling through the spotlist to see locations nearby
• Sharing spots and profiles directly through the app
• Getting notified when a new spot is added around you

Ratings and reviews

This app discourages participation right away by requiring account sign up with a phone# in order to use it at all. Once in, you're greeted by a loud, long, obnoxious intro video (no option to skip). I tried to add a local spot, but wasn't even able to - despite filling in all required info, there's no option anywhere to save, submit or post the spot. Making the app completely useless. Unfortunate since it seems to have the largest amount of spots in my area. Also there's no option for curbs

Annoying video you can't skip at the beginning. Forces you to allow notifications and contacts and provide your phone number. I don't want to "connect with my friends" through an app. I have real life. I just wanted to see skate spots. I don't care if you're *claiming* to not sell my data, if I don't want you to have it then I shouldn't be forced to give it just to use features that I don't want. I should be able to enable those features later if I actually like the app. But now I'm uninstalling

Great location. Compact design with good flow. Concrete could be smoother but it has good grip not to slide out. Great for building skills to go to bigger parks. Has a lot to offer for a small footprint skatepark.

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and here’s what’s new in this release:

1. No More Mandatory Invites
We’ve removed the "Invite 5 Friends" feature. We want your experience to be all about skateboarding, not requirements.

2. Transparency on Data Collection
We’ve updated the app to explain why we ask for data access. Your privacy is our priority:
- We never store, sell, or misuse your data.
- We use it solely to help you connect with your skateboarding crew.
