So far, this has been pretty solid. I'm really surprised that it does everything better than Plaud IMO. My friend had Plaud so I got to try it for a week. I've only had OMI for a week and it's been really good. Of course there is one issue that I've been running into. I would not sync a whole days worth of recordings. I think the battery optimization in Android was hindering it. If the Dev team sees this then there is my critique. I appreciate the awesome device and hard work that this is. 🤗

The app is good when it works properly, but I find it disconnects and seems to stop recording and I find I miss conversations I thought were recorded but are not. It feels like something that should be more thoroughly tested as I find more glitches every time I use it. Connecting plugins is hit or miss and some are broken.

Omi AI is misleading and poorly designed. The device was unreliable, failed to record properly, wouldn’t shut off, and key features like transcription were buried or unusable. The app and menus are confusing and inaccessible, especially for users with learning disabilities. Support gave slow, canned responses and hid behind a 3-day return rule. After I returned the device, they refunded only $65 of $139 and then went silent. I had to dispute the charge. Avoid this company.
