CrewCast turns your phone into a film-set radio.

Push-to-talk voice channels keep camera, sound, and lighting on the same page without filling the air. Group chats and team chats give every department a private place to coordinate. When the AD calls "Action!", everyone sees it instantly — no shouting, no missed cues, no walkie-talkie chatter cutting through the take.

WHAT'S IN THIS RELEASE (1.7.0)

This is the first public Android release of CrewCast — coordinated with the iOS 1.7 release. The Android app focuses on the crew experience: receive actions, talk on channels, chat with your team, check in for the day. Production owners and ADs continue to manage productions through the iOS app or the web dashboard.

REQUIREMENTS

- Android 13 or newer
- A production code from your AD (QR or invite link)
- Internet connection (cellular works fine)

JOIN A PRODUCTION

1. Install the app
2. Tap "Continue as guest" and set your name
3. Scan the production QR code your AD shares
4. You're in — pick your team and check in for the day
PRIVACY
CrewCast keeps production conversations inside the production. Voice channels run over LiveKit, chats are encrypted at rest on our servers, and AI-assisted moderation runs on production-wide messages only — never on private group chats. We don't sell your data, ever.

CrewCast 1.9 — You can now run the set from Android: ADs can trigger actions and fire cues directly from the Cues tab. New Cue Display mode gives you a set-safe, dimmed cue screen. Clearer microphone permission flow for audio channels, plus Android 16 compatibility updates.
