About this app

With the Hreyfill Taxi app on your Smartphone, you can quickly and easily book a taxi – skipping any telephone queues
Hreyfill Taxi receives orders in the Reykjavik and Reykjanes area.


By using your phone’s GPS the app finds your current location. Please note that if the app is not allowed access to the phone’s location the app will not be able to locate you. The app also needs access to the phone’s filesystem to save your configuration, messages and trip information.
Users with an account can have an username associated with the account number to book a trip on the account.

Ratings and reviews

I did get an Icelandic sim card in the airport so I used this with no issue. Needed a ride from hotel to car rental place (and then the reverse), ride was confirmed in like 30 seconds, driver arrived 5 min later. Very nice car, nice driver. There are problems with the map functionality - it freezes and you can't scroll to track your driver. Otherwise I definitely recommend this.

Do not use this app.. After pre-booking an airport transfer from Keflavík the night before at 06:50 and confirmationon the app, the time came and the job was declared a no show. Zero communication. I then googled Keflavik taxi numbers, called the airport taxis and was picked up in less than 2 minutes. If I could give negative stars, I would.

This beta does the bare minimum. You can book a taxi, after that, you're in God's hands. No updates, no taxi location or etc. You have to blindly trust it's coming. App doesn't confirm the cost before you book. So this Android App needs some work, the Apple version seems much more mature. Taxi arrived, though in a different location to what the App translated my pickup location to. Driver and service is good though 👌
