About this app

Frostline Basecamp is an offline camping gear tracker and expedition planner for
people who spend real nights outside. Log every trip, catalogue every piece of
kit, and watch the condition of your gear change as you actually use it — with no
account, no sign-in and no connection required. If you have ever stood in a porch
at -20 wondering whether the stove got packed, this is the app for that problem.

Everything lives on your phone. Open the app and the Basecamp screen shows your
current expedition, how many nights it runs and how much gear is attached to it,
next to running totals for trips, nights outside, climate zones visited and items
owned. Plan a new trip through a four-step setup — name and dates, camping type,
season and climate zone, then the gear you are taking. Attaching gear to a trip
bumps its usage count and nudges its condition down, so your inventory reflects
wear instead of staying frozen at the day you bought it.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Add the categories your kit falls into — shelter, fire, cooking, whatever fits.
2. Add your gear, with value, weight, condition and a photo.
3. Plan a trip: name it, set the dates, pick the camping type, season and climate
zone, then tick off the gear you are taking.
4. Mark the trip complete when you get home. Your nights, zones and gear condition
all move on their own.

WHY FROSTLINE BASECAMP
It runs entirely on your device. There is no account to create, no server holding
your kit list, and nothing to load before the app is usable — it opens the same
whether you are on fibre or three days from a road. The interface is built for
cold-weather use: a dark palette, large targets and readable numbers rather than
dense forms. And the gear-wear model means the app gets more useful the longer you
keep it, because your inventory ends up reflecting real mileage.

PRIVACY
Works fully offline. No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your trips,
gear and photos never leave the device, and the app requests no network access.
