About this game

Frozen Lake Catch - a tapping game set on a frozen lake where three holes are cut through the ice and sea life keeps surfacing through them. Fish leap out one at a time at first, and each one stays above the surface only for a short moment before sliding back under, so the whole game runs on quick reactions: a single tap on a fish lands it and adds its points to the counter at the top of the screen, while a tap on bare ice does nothing. Species are worth different amounts and surface at different rates - plain cod and silver cod come up most often and give the smallest amounts, fast herring and blue mackerel sit in the middle, and rare char, neon perch and golden cod surface far less often and give much larger amounts. Old boots and tin cans also come up through the holes and have to be left alone: tapping one takes points away, breaks the current series and flashes the screen red. Every fish landed one after another extends that series, and a longer series raises the points given for each further catch, up to one and a half times the base amount, so accuracy matters as much as speed. A round lasts a fixed number of seconds shown by the clock in the corner, and the pace climbs as the clock runs down - holes fire more often, fish stay up for less time, as many as three of them can be above the surface at once, and junk shows up more frequently; a short banner warns when the pace steps up. When the clock reaches zero the round closes and a summary plate lists every species landed with its count and total points, junk taps marked separately, the total for the round, and a note when that total beats the previous best result. From there a new round can start straight away or the game can return to the menu. A separate page keeps lifetime figures - best result, rounds played, total fish landed, longest series and a per-species tally - and all of it is saved and loaded again on the next launch. Settings hold a vibration toggle for tap feedback, a choice of round length of forty five, sixty or ninety seconds, and a full progress reset. The game runs in portrait, needs no network connection and contains no ads.
Tap fish leaping from ice holes and skip the junk before time runs out.
