## Full description

Fumeto Reader Plus is an all-in-one reader, comic library manager, and translator for the comics you already own. If you run Komga, Kavita, or YACReaderLibraryServer comic servers, connect it and read over your own network. Credentials stay on your device and are only sent to your server.

Import your CBZ files or connect the comic server you run at home, and read the way you'd expect: right-to-left page turning for manga, a vertical strip mode for webtoons, pinch zoom, and progress that stays where you left off.

Translation runs two ways, and both are free with no quotas. Use a model that runs entirely on your device — no account, no API key, nothing leaving your phone. You can also connect a cloud provider like OpenRouter with your own key. Tap translate and the speech bubbles are redrawn with your target-language text fitted inside the original balloons. If a box lands somewhere awkward, drag it. If a line reads wrong, tap it and edit. Your corrections are saved with the page.

- On-device translation with a model fine-tuned for Japanese manga: no account, no key, no network. Two options, both around 6-16 seconds per page on a Snapdragon 8 Elite once warmed up: a ~440 MB compact model for devices with less than 6 GB of memory, and a ~1.1 GB model that translates more accurately, best with 8 GB or more
- The app checks your device's memory and recommends the right model before anything is downloaded
- Or bring your own OpenRouter API key (most OpenAI-compatible keys work too). You can also connect to LM Studio and Ollama servers on your local network. Your key stays on the device, and only the pages you choose to translate are sent to the provider you picked
- Translate a page, or just a region you draw with your finger
- Translations sit inside the original speech bubbles, and every box can be moved or edited
- One tap flips back to the untranslated page

Everything above stays free. Pro unlocks the batch workflow, for when you want a whole volume done rather than a page:

- Batch volume translation: queue a volume and let it run in the background
- 2-pass consistency review, so names and terminology hold across the volume
- Revision passes over a translation you have already finished
- Export translated comics as CBZ files

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No ads, no account, no analytics. Your comics, reading history, and keys never reach us, because there is no server of ours for them to reach. The privacy policy is short and you can actually read it.
