The BEST crossword app. There is none even remotely comparable to it. Take a picture of the crossword. It automatically gets converted to a digital format. Carry it anywhere. Share it with family and friends. In fact you can collaborate and work on the same grid. Simultaneously! From anywhere in the world! Unfortunately doesn't work on iOS any longer.

Dear Rajiv, you may like to know that the app is now available again on the other platform you mentioned. Best wishes, Matt.

Incredibly fun and useful app. Being able to do crosswords you find in cafes without ruining it for everyone else is a lot of fun, and the way this app lets you collaboratively work on crosswords makes it even better. I can't give this 5 stars because there seem to be some issues with inputting text on certain phone keyboards, the grid scanning is fairly unreliable, and also double clicking a cell opens a decoration menu which gets in the way more than it is useful. However these are all minor things really, and I'm super grateful for the author for making this available for free, without ads.

Dear Google Play User, I have recently updated the app and tried to improve scanning and keyboard support. If you are still using the app and find it hasn't helped, please get in touch and I can investigate further. Best wishes, Matt.

I love the app as it allows creating grids from images. There is, however, some improvements I would suggest. On my phone I use dark mode and this doesn't work well with the grid. Thus, I have to change the display to light mode. It would be great if the theme used by the app would be decoupled from the system mode. I suppose that to have a perfect app OCR could be used to recognize and display the clues in text rather than images. If this were possible then you could ...

Dear Pierre, though most of the app has light and dark mode, the grids always use conventional white squares for answers and black squares elsewhere. Does your phone have a display option enabled like "Adjust text and backgrounds automatically"? If it does, your phone may be forcing the colour inversion. You're welcome to email to discuss further.
