The FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App is a patented, 40 module, 2,000 screens, fully narrated, tastefully animated, simulated one-on-one tutoring experience, that will teach your child how to read with minimal adult help required.
Based on 17 years of field testing and clinical research, FUNetix teaches all of the 44 sounds of English first (phonemic awareness), and then uses a patented pronunciation guide to “show” children the sounds in every word, and the “sound pieces” and spelling patterns unique to the English language (phonics).
Presented by the American Youth Literacy Foundation 501 (c) (3), a nationwide, charitable non-profit, dedicated to teaching EVERY child in America how to read by the end of 3rd grade, the app is absolutely FREE!

A really well built app. Great graphics and nice narration that should help keep children glued to the app. The app has one negative point. It requests permission to photos and media without expressing the reason why. If the developer doesn't mention that in the app, they should mention it here in the app's listing. If you have autistic children with speech or reading issues, this app may be of some help. It's very easy to use and most children won't have any problem using it. Although the app runs on a smartphone in landscape mode, it is more suitable for a larger device like a tablet.

This app is life-changing. My daughter was struggling at the time in kindergarten, and I wanted to make sure she could read before going to 1st grade. Thanks to this app, she’s reading well and on a 2nd-grade level. She was recently awarded a reading excellence award in her 1st-grade class and continues to excel and expand her vocabulary. There are lots of times when I have to close the app and clear cache before it will function as expected. Now, I can't get into Module # 15 at all. I've cleared cache in the app to no avail. There is a "loading" indicator be which is all stuck 35%. 🤷🏼♀️
