About this app
FTL (Fungo Tracker Logger) is the companion for your mushroom and truffle foraging trips.
Record your routes with GPS, mark your finds with photos and species, and get back to your best spots even where there is no signal.
TRACKING AND DIARY
• GPS tracking even with the screen off, with an always-visible notification
• Finds, parking spots and points of interest, with photos and species
• Diary by location, season statistics, export and import of your own data
• Offline maps: download the regions you need and navigate without a connection
WEATHER AND GROWTH CONDITIONS
• Growth favourability worked out for your own spot, day by day
• Five-day forecasts, plus an estimate out to sixteen days (Open-Meteo)
• Recent history: rainfall, humidity, temperature
• Past summers: the water balance of thirteen years from the ERA5 archive, to see what kind of year this is
• Next flush: foraging windows and the best zones, from real data for your own places
• Official weather warnings from the Meteoalarm feed (EUMETNET), by region, Italy only
• Moon phases, for those who follow foraging traditions

PRIVACY
Tracks, photos and finds stay on your device. No account, no ads, no profiling. Coordinates leave the phone only to ask for weather and place names. Community sightings (iNaturalist) are optional and off by default.

• Your zones' forest: the app reads from public maps which forest is there (beech, chestnut, oak, pine…) and suggests only the species that grow in it: no pine milk caps in a beech wood. You can correct it with “What forest is it?”.
• In Weather, your zones in one row: one tap to switch zone.
• On the home screen, the zone of the favourability and the place of the last track.
• Fixed the point marked with a long press, which did not appear on the map.
