About this app

OptiFarm is the offline-first cattle traceability platform built for South African farms. Capture what happens at the crush - births, treatments, vaccinations, weights and movements - even with no signal. Everything is saved on the device first and syncs automatically when you are back in range.

BUILT FOR THE FIELD
- Works fully offline. The app writes to the phone first and never blocks capture while you wait for signal.
- Designed for a gloved thumb at the crush: big targets, few taps, fast entry.
- One app for phone, tablet and web from the same account.

COMPLIANCE-CORRECT
- The registered identification mark (brand or tattoo) is treated as the legal identity of the animal, in line with the Animal Identification Act.
- RFID / EID tags are a linked, secondary convenience layer - never confused with the legal mark.
- Health, vaccination, movement, weight and reproduction records are kept as a permanent history. Corrections are added as new entries, never by erasing the past.
- Ready for the 2026 FMD vaccination scheme, with vaccination tracking and coverage.

- Grazing planned in LSU (Large Stock Units), the South African standard, with carrying-capacity and stocking (ha/LSU).

What’s new

- Rainfall, rebuilt: are you behind against the same date last season, where it fell gauge by gauge, and twelve months in season order.
- A farm's rainfall is now the average across its gauges, not the sum. Three gauges no longer read as three times the rain you had.
- Correct a reading, or name the gauge on older ones.
- New: export the Cattle list to Excel, exactly as you filtered it.
- New: send feedback from inside the app.
- The app stays in the organisation you chose.
