Development app to test feasibility of using sound level to help locate sound source.
This app simply displays maximum sound levels on a generic timebase...
The user requesting this capability is deaf, and although the assistance dog is alerting them that there is a noise somewhere, it isn't trained to indicate the source, and the user has encountered difficulties locating it.
This version is purely a test bed to see if the principles are correct.
Additionally, the app can record. Which may also be useful by means of playing it back to someone else for identification (e.g. fire alarm, door bell, etc.)
