About this game

The official Android port of the popular PC simulation game - now for phones, tablets, and Chromebooks!

Floating Sandbox is a realistic 2D physics simulator. At its core it's a particle system that uses mass-spring networks to simulate rigid bodies, with added thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and basic electrotechnics. The simulation is mostly focused on ships floating on water; once a ship is loaded you can punch holes into it, slice it, apply forces and heat, set it on fire, smash it with bomb explosions - anything you want. And when it starts sinking, you can watch it slowly dive its way into the abyss, where it will rot for eternity!

The game is still under development and new features are released frequently with free updates - including all new tools and features from the PC version of the simulator!

Completely ad-free and without in-app purchases. No AI was used during the development of this game.

I played this game on computer, its amazing, all it really needs is like..a ship workshop, so We can use community ships, especially the battleship ones i loved those, plus it needs a time Toggle thing, I want to be able to slow down time, or stop time. that way when I make a big gash, I it doesn't sink instant and I can have some fun while its sinking, othe than that I absolutely love it, and I really hope to see the game grow, I love it on computer, and id love to love it on mobile too,

I absolutely LOVE this game. the detail on the ships is great and some of the good ships are actually funny, as a child I've had an obsession with bust I would make Lego boats and watch them sink, this game brings back those memories and allows me to do things I couldn't with Legos, I hope for more ships in the future like the Edmund Fitzgerald. the game contains storms so you could re-enact the Fitzgerald sinking, it'd be perfect.

I have always wanted to see a sinking simulator like game on mobile devices. I have been a fan of sinking simulator 1, 2 and floating sandbox for over a decade. I'm glad to see floating sandbox on the play store now it was way overdue πŸ˜… my only complaints are I wish there was an option to disable the camera from locking onto certain things, i wish that when a ship sinks we can have an option to disable wavy water while the ship sinks and we also need more ships or a ship builder in game.

Thank you for your review! You _can_ disable the camera lock, it's on the "General" tab of the settings. And we'll add the toggle for the wavy water, that's already available in the PC version but we left it out of Android to not clutter the settings, thinking no one would use it :-) We were clearly wrong!

What’s new

- Improved performance of some ships that were lagging on medium-end phones
- Improved responsiveness to app pause while game is loading, and fixed some crashes
- Added 5 new ships!
