About this app

MoatKey is a password manager for you — and for the accounts your family or team share. Start with your own vault. Share a Castle whenever you need to.

Your vault is encrypted on your phone before it is sent anywhere. Your master password never leaves your device, and MoatKey's servers cannot read your passwords, usernames, website addresses, notes or authenticator codes.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Keep logins, secure notes, cards, Wi-Fi and door codes in a personal vault.
• Generate strong passwords and passphrases.
• Keep authenticator (2FA) codes next to the login they belong to. Scan the QR code with your camera or from a screenshot.
• Import from another password manager.
• Unlock with your fingerprint or face instead of typing your master password.

SHARE WITH CASTLES
• A Castle is a shared vault for the people you trust: family, a partner, a small team.
• Every member has their own key. Remove someone and the Castle's key changes.
• Check safety numbers with the people you share with, so you know you are sharing with the right person.
• Quantum-safe sharing: keys for shared Castles are delivered with hybrid encryption (X25519 + ML-KEM), built to stay safe against future quantum computers.

THE DUNGEON
• Mark your crown jewels (bank, payroll, domain registrar) as Dungeon items.
• Each reveal or copy asks you to prove it's you again, every time, and is written to the Castle's activity log.
• Dungeon items are hidden from Viewers and never autofilled.

SECURE DROP
• Send one login or some text to anyone, even if they don't use MoatKey, as an end-to-end encrypted link.
• Links work once (or a few times you choose), expire after 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days, can have a passphrase, and can be revoked.

APPROVE ON YOUR PHONE
• Unlock MoatKey in your browser by approving the request on your phone with your fingerprint or face.

• Free: personal vault, authenticator codes, password generator, import, and 1 shared Castle with up to 3 people.
• Family: $4.99/month or $49.90/year through Google Play. Up to 6 people and unlimited shared Castles.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Prices may vary by country.

WHAT MOATKEY CAN SEE

IMPORTANT
MoatKey cannot recover a forgotten master password. Keep your recovery kit safe.
MoatKey is new. It has had internal security review only; an independent audit has not happened yet.
