Make sure location is turned on to get this app to work. Was having trouble getting another app to work, while trouble shooting that I came across a fix another user found : Turn on your location. Just like that this app and the other work just fine. If you're like me and have location off all the time, turning it on would never have crossed my mind.

Takes multiple tries to connect via Bluetooth. Unless you are connected you cannot see or adjust settings. The older version was more reliable than the Jan 2019 update. I hope someone from Galcon reads this and makes improvements. Next year I'll be looking for a different timer. I love the Bluetooth option, but it's not working smoothly.

The app does not see the galcon 7101BT controller despite numerous attempts and a new battery even when they are right next to each other. The Galcon web site does not offer any suggestions for what to do. It works sometimes with my wife's phone, but never with mine. Location services must be enabled on your phone and GPS must be on. You also have to give the app location permission. Range is about 5-7 feet max. If the BT7101 display is not on, it also won't respond to Bluetooth. (Press the manual button on the controller before trying to pair or program.)
