Zoom In is a location-based app that is designed to help you make friends nearby within a specific range (~500 km / ~311 miles) on Google Maps.

What is the purpose of Zoom In?

Zoom In is a genuine social app that allows you to meet people instantly when you are on the streets or in public places.

Zoom In modes:

Google Maps mode: Open Google Maps and share your location with other users. Zoom in and out on Google Maps to find friends. If there are people nearby, they will appear on the map.

International mode: When using this mode it shows you people from all over the world.

Don't forget to:

Add your interests: Show people what your hobbies are.

Add a Status: It's a quick way to let others know what your daily, weekly or even monthly plan is. This increases the chance to find someone with the same plan. Status becomes useful, for example, when you want to find a friend to accompany you to a festival, concert, or sports event in the city. Or maybe to just hang out? Always try to keep your status up-to-date.

Add a photo: You can only upload one photo which is your profile picture. Try to pick the best one.

Good to know:

Zoom In does not access your location in the background. Therefore, if you want to update your location on Google Maps you will have to:
1- Turn on the device location.
2- Open Zoom In and it will automatically update the location on Google Maps as well as fetching people nearby. This also allows users at the new location to find you.

To stop sharing location on Google Maps, Follow these simple steps:

Settings -> Remove my location on the map.

It's enjoyable to find people around you and make friends with new ones in lonely times. And This is my favorite app out of all the similar ones i've tried, mainly because it runs smoothly and is easy to use. As a UI designer I really like the simplicity of its design and it apeals to me. Besides that, because of an invitation must be sent before sending any message, makes me feel safer against annoying ones. Overall, I find this social app to be incredibly handy and user friendly. 💫

This is a BIG lie. You have to immediately sign up and log in as soon as you open the app. You don't get to look around and test it out to see if you will like it. After you log in, you have to answer a gazillion mandatory questions and photo uploads. After you have wasted 20 minutes doing all that, you are immediately presented with a mandatory subscription page. You have to sign up for a subscription before you can actually see a map. I NEVER got to see a map. And there is no one time payment.

I truly enjoy using Zoom In! The app is well-designed, simple, and fun to use. The intuitive interface and engaging features make it a pleasure to interact with. Thank you for the great work—please keep it up! 🚀
