I disagree with the old reviews. Play at your own pace. Excellent artwork. I consider this a keeper: 5 years+ now. Considering the size of the app it runs smoothly. Only a couple of minor bugs: one is planes stalling out at the end of the runway; fix is: visit a friend's base, and comeback, the plane is gone, then continue landing planes. I like this app.

While I appreciate the concept and artstyle, the pace of this game can be exhaustive. You are constantly bombarded by the mission screen which really detracts from the city building aspect. It feels as if you are just following a linear path with no freedom to slow down and plan your infrastructure. Also microtransactions rear their head pretty badly here with the concept of resource exchange speedups introduced early in the tutorial.

Game is challenging but after a few levels the requirements become ridiculously high and to buy anything you get little for your money. Since the other reviews similar to mine didn't make a difference I'll offer 2 examples. The town hall needed to expand your city in 1 level went from 22000 points to 50000 points quite a huge jump. Same with leveling up went from 5400 to 9700 points with no change in point gathering methods

What's new

Pilots, the Airport City update contains many technical fixes and improvements. Everything for a stable and enjoyable game!

And here are the new features from previous versions that you might not have noticed:
– added level 4 for the Small Oil Refinery;
– added level 4 for the Powerful Oil Refinery;
– added 5 territory expansions.
