Ratings and reviews

Overbearing ads, slow loading, and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the in game sounds. The ads are full screen, loud, and take forever to finish. Game play is slow when playing against the computer. Even though I've turned off the audio in the settings, music and sound effects still play.

Good app, just one small complaint - there appears to be a bug with the sound, if you switch off sound effects in the settings it will turn off the background music in the app. However, if you then navigate to the vs computer play, the music starts up again. Basically there's no way to play offline without that music playing in the background. I like to play checkers while I watch YouTube or listen to podcasts at the same time so this is a little annoying to me. But other than that it's great!

Nice app, fun way to pass the time. However I noticed there's some algorithm here that keeps you from going on a streak for too long. You play for a certain amount of time, rack a good winning streak, then suddenly players with only one or two games show up and play waaayyyy too well for a newbie. I'd believe it if it happened once in a while, but it's all the time. They don't respond to messages, and play perfect. Nope, I'm guessing the game comes up with a fake player to stop the streak.
