About this app

Ganit is a Hindu calendar and kundli app that shows its working.

Every tithi, nakshatra and dasha in Ganit comes with the reason behind it: the sunrise it was decided at, the minute a value changes, and the convention used. When two traditions disagree, Ganit says so instead of picking one quietly.

PANCHANG
• Today's five limbs for your city: tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana and vara, with the times each one ends
• Rahu Kala, sunrise and sunset on a single day bar
• Vriddhi and kshaya tithis called out when they happen
• A month view and a festival list for the year
• Why a festival falls on a different day in India than where you live, worked out for both cities

KUNDLI
• Your rashi chart in North, South or East Indian style
• All nine grahas with sign, degree and nakshatra
• Vimshottari dasha with drill-down into each period
• Birth-time confidence: tell Ganit how sure you are of the time, and it shows what could change inside that window instead of guessing

MILAN
• Ashtakoota matching with Bhakuta and Nadi shown first, Manglik shown separately, and the number last

VASTU
• A compass that uses your phone's magnetometer and corrects for magnetic declination where you are
• Record each room's direction as you walk the house

REMINDERS
• Optional reminders for Rahu Kala, Ekadashi and festivals, worked out on your phone for your city

GANIT DEPTH
The free app covers the daily panchang, your chart, dashas, matching scores and the compass. Ganit Depth adds divisional charts, yogas, Sade Sati, dasha alerts, the full koota-by-koota match reading and the Vastu reading. It is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or in India as a 30-day or 1-year pass. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and can be managed in your Google Play subscriptions.
