GapMath turns number patterns into a quick puzzle you can play anytime. Each round asks one question: what number belongs in the empty spot of a sequence? You see four answer choices, tap your pick, and move on. Tap Play on the start screen and the first puzzle appears right away — no sign-up and no long setup.
A row of numbers shows with a question mark in the middle, like 2 → 5 → ? → 11. The hint above reads Find the missing number. Read the pattern, choose the missing value from four buttons below, and the next puzzle loads. Correct answers add to your score and bring you closer to the round goal. A wrong answer costs one life. You start with three lives shown as hearts at the top of the screen.
Scoring in GapMath rewards steady thinking. Level 1 puzzles add 10 points per correct answer. From Level 2 onwards, each correct answer adds 15 points. Your score, current level, solved count, and remaining time stay visible so you always know where you stand during the round.
GapMath includes three pattern styles that unlock as you solve more puzzles. Level 1 uses step-by-step sequences where each number moves by the same amount, such as adding the same value each time. Level 2 introduces sequences that grow through multiplication, where each step scales by a fixed ratio. Level 3 shifts to square-based patterns built from perfect squares. The level changes automatically as your solved count rises — no menus to adjust.
Every GapMath session runs on a 90-second timer counting down at the top of the screen. Your progress and time are saved during play, so a single round stays consistent if you pause briefly. Run out of time or lose all three lives and the round ends. Solve twelve sequences first and you win with a Victory result. A progress line shows how many you have solved out of twelve.
When a round ends, GapMath shows a clear results screen. If you reach the goal, you see Victory. If time or lives ran out first, you see Game Over. The screen lists your score, the highest level reached, sequences solved, and your best score across all sessions on this device. That best score stays saved on your phone, giving you a target for the next attempt.
Tap Play Again and GapMath starts a fresh round while keeping your all-time best on record. Each new session begins with a clean score, three full lives, Level 1 puzzles, and the full 90 seconds on the clock. Patterns are generated fresh each time, so numbers will not appear in the same order every round. One wrong tap removes one heart; three mistakes end the game.
