About this game

GatherNook is a quiet, single-player puzzle in which you slide numbered tiles across a board and merge matching pairs into higher values. It runs fully offline on your device: no account, no internet connection and no advertisements.

Classic mode

Swipe in any direction and every tile slides as far as it can go. When two equal tiles touch, they merge into one tile of double the value. Build the highest tile you can and chase a personal best score. A new tile appears after every move that actually changes the board, and the game ends when no move is left. One undo is available per run; a game that uses it is tracked separately from your no-undo records, so your clean runs always stay honest.

Goal challenges

Fifty fixed puzzles put your planning to the test. Every challenge uses a pre-set spawn sequence, so results are reproducible and are never decided by unexplained luck:

- Reach a target value within a limited number of moves.
- Break shields by merging matching tiles into them until their hits run out.
- Keep a chosen corner empty for a set number of moves in a row.

Each level shows its starting board, the goal, the move budget and your best result. Completed levels are marked, and the best move count for each challenge is saved.

Learning

An interactive tutorial on a small 3x3 board walks you through overall movement, the single-merge rule, tile spawns and end conditions, so you can feel how the game behaves before facing the full board.

Preferences

Tune the game to your taste: swipe sensitivity, merge animation speed, sound effects, a light, dark or system theme, number size and tile texture. Your choices are stored only on this device.

Statistics

Your records live locally: games played, best score, best tile, no-undo records, challenge wins, total moves and total merges.

All progress, scores and settings stay on your device. GatherNook is a calm companion for a few minutes of thoughtful play.
