About this game
Tillsvidare is a satirical point-and-click office comedy about being acting section head at a Swedish government agency. The game is in Swedish, and so is the humour: development dialogues, coffee crises, union consultation and hybrid work questions all turn up before lunch.
How a day goes
You are appointed until further notice, pending a decision that will be made in Q3. The working day runs from 08:00 to 17:00 on a clock that ticks in real time, and a whole day passes in a few minutes. Click to walk around a pixel-art office. Colleagues flag matters that cannot wait, mail piles up in your inbox, and the coffee machine needs attention. Every conversation pauses the clock, and nearly every decision costs working minutes, so the day is never long enough for everything. Leave someone waiting too long and they give up, and morale takes the hit.
Four meters to keep in balance
Morale, budget, coffee and sanity. Choices push them up or down, coffee runs out on its own over the day, and low coffee wears on morale. At 17:00 the day ends whether you are finished or not, and you get a verdict on how it went.
The week carries over
The next day starts where the last one ended. Meters carry over, with some sanity recovered overnight and the coffee machine refilled to a minimum. Your colleagues keep score too: after enough decisions the team gives you a nickname based on how you lead, and it shows up in the verdict.
Your career carries over too
Every finished day earns tf points, tf being the Swedish shorthand for acting, and every finished week earns a few more. The points give you a level with a title, from acting until further notice and upward, though upward is a matter of interpretation: none of the fifteen titles is a real promotion. Things you do, or happen to do, earn awards. They are noted in the verdict, worth a few points each, and filed in your personnel file, which lists the ones you have not earned yet by name only. Levels and awards unlock items: caps, glasses, sweaters and things that stand on a desk. None of them does any good, but you pick what to wear in the wardrobe, and it shows in the office, on the start screen and on the card you share. Starting over clears the week, not the career.
Share a day or a week
Every verdict and every weekend can be shared as a small pixel card with your meters, nickname, title and outfit; the verdict travels along as a quote. The card is drawn from the numbers in the link and nothing else.
Who you meet
Eight colleagues with their own coffee breaks, printer runs, vending machine queues and meetings, one of them who only ever appears on a video call from his cabin in the mountains, and a stream of visitors from other sections, HR, finance, IT, the union and the press. More than two hundred events, with follow-ups that depend on what you chose earlier and cooldowns that keep an event from coming back too soon.

The game is free and complete. Extra content is sold as packs, one-time purchases in the app. Regleringsbrev 1 is the first: the government's assignments to the section, chapter by chapter.
Practical
No account, and nothing to sign up for. What the game stores stays on your device: the name you enter on the start screen, the week in progress, your career, whether sound is on and the date you first opened the game, so you can pick up where you left off. Clearing the app's data removes all of it. To carry the week and the career to another device, the start screen gives you a code to type there; only then is a copy kept, by Gelopard's own sync service, and the same screen erases it. When it starts, the app asks the store whether a newer version exists, and the day and week cards you choose to share are links. The game also keeps anonymous counts: how many play and come back, which days end, errors and purchases. Numbers only, with no identifier of any kind, so nothing about you is sent anywhere; a checkbox on the start screen turns the counting off.
