This Video Player app is designed to be a helpful video player for those with entry-level smartphones that sometimes lack codec support in their default video player apps.

This app differs from other video or media player apps that have their own interfaces. This app doesn't. You can play videos directly by clicking the video in the file manager and selecting "Open with" with "Gen Video Player Lite."

You can select videos that can't be played with the default video player and choose to open them with the "Gen Video Player Lite" app.

If you use the "GenScreen Capture" app we developed, this is a suitable companion app.
