Geneva is an all-in-one communication app designed for organized, ongoing conversations with all your favorite people. Join or create a home and set up chat, post, audio, video, and broadcast rooms for specific topics.

Whether you're aimlessly hanging with best friends, keeping your club members on the same page, or sharing opinions with peers across the country — there’s a place for everyone here.

Here are a few of the highlights:

HOMES & ROOMS
Set up "homes" for your groups, then create "rooms" inside them for different topics or sub-groups. Rooms can be open or secret, and because everyone can adjust their notification settings for each one, people can tune into the conversations they care about and tune out the rest. There are 5 different kinds of rooms you can use...

CHAT ROOMS
Full-featured chat rooms with @ mentions, threaded replies, emoji reactions, GIFs, attachments, polls, events, pins, typing indicators, and more...

POST ROOMS
These forum-style rooms are a bit more organized than chat rooms and great for announcements and longer-form discussion. Members of the group can upvote and comment, and everyone can sort posts by most recent, most upvotes, or most commented-on.

AUDIO ROOMS
If you'd rather talk than type and read, you can create an audio room in your home and jump in with a tap whenever the mood strikes. Think of it like a big group phone call, but way easier.

VIDEO ROOMS
Hop in a video room and hang out with up to 16 people at once. These are great for small events and more casual get togethers.

BROADCAST ROOMS
Go live on video with up to 9 people on stage and thousands of viewers to call on-air. Use these for things like casual panels, DIY tutorials, live-reacts, and more...

DMs
Because sometimes you just want to start a private side convo.

Ever. Instead, we're building a bunch of exciting features that'll make it really easy for people on Geneva to transact with one another, and when that happens, we'll keep 5% (more info on this coming soon).

ACTUAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Because everyone signs up with a phone number, not an email address, blocks and bans are easier to enforce so there’s less room for trolling and abuse (but don't worry, we won't share or display your phone number anywhere). We also give you the ability to set your home's rules and tools to help you enforce them.

Ratings and reviews

Easy to navigate and use UI, lots of useful community management features, but unusable, which I determined after a lot of testing. While I'm able to send messages, my friend's messages have a 20 minute delay before they appear in that chat, assuming they send at all, given that most of their messages are deleted by the app while they are still sending. This has rendered the app basically useless. It may be that I'm on an Android and they're on an iPhone, but no other commutation app does this.

This app does not open half of the time. I am a first time user and signed up for home from a natural hair community I am in. When it does finally open and I click the link that was sent to me. It says I am not connected to the internet. I reached out to support and they told me to try a different connection and a different device. I did both and have not been able to get in. I have uninstalled, restarted my phone etc. A million times to no evail. This is so frustrating, because I cannot access

I don't get why you'd take us to the bottom of the comments section when we try to expand longer posts. I have to scroll through them to get to the post, but that's impossible if there are too many comments or if they won't even keep loading when you scroll up, which happens a lot.
