I spend a lot of time in a flight simulator that has less than stellar night lighting, especially on moonless nights. With that in mind I downloaded this app hoping to be able to readily check moonrise/set times and phases for a given place, date and time so I could know what to expect. It ended up working perfectly for my purposes, really the only thing I would change is having the option to disable the compass on the map view and manually control which way is North similar to Google maps.

I went to Coney Island to watch the Supermoon rise but, there were low level clouds and I had no idea where the moon was. I downloaded this app and then knew exactly where to look while I waited, with my camera at the ready. It worked flawlessly and I didn't miss a moment of it searching the horizon. I got the most amazing pictures.

I live in the woods and saw a light in a very strange spot outside my window. This confirmed my husband telling me it was just the moon. So I like it. Thank you. I wish it had more tracking abilities for other things that would be cool too. Otherwise it's still pretty cool. You can find the moon using your camera. It will point at the moon! Cool right!
