To ensure reliable safety monitoring during active work shifts, the application uses an Android foreground service. This allows the app to continue detecting location updates, safety events, and tool interactions even when the phone screen is off or when the user switches to another app.

Continuous monitoring enables:

When monitoring is active, Android displays a system notification informing the user that location tracking is running.
The foreground service operates only while the user is actively working on site and monitoring is enabled, and stops when monitoring is no longer required.
